Criteria for Advanced Training approval
Coastal Flora—Saturday May 10, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
This day-long training will be presented at Mad Island Marsh Preserve by Jared Laing & Bill Carr. Members who attended their fall session last year recommend it. Come study coastal flora in spring bloom. Bring your lunch and attend a short Chapter meeting during the lunch hour.
South Texas Wind Farms
Texas Master Naturalist and former Mid-Coast Chapter member Jim Sinclair will speak on wind farms in general and the two South Texas projects in particular at the August 16th Chapter meeting at Green Acres in Rockport. If a volunteer opportunity you are pursuing includes training, fill out the Training Approval Form, and send it to Joan Muchmore, Education & Training Chairman, for approval.

Watch local news sources for seminars or classes on local-area ecosystems, wildlife, native plants, or natural resource management, check them against advanced training criteria, fill out the Training Approval Form, and send it to the Education & Training Chairman, and request approval.

Check the ListServ email to see if other Chapters are offering training applicable to our area.

Training Approval Form—Use this form to provide information to the Education & Training Committee on training that does not appear on this page, or has not been preapproved by email from the Committee chair.

Monthly Activity Report form—Use this form to report approved advanced training and volunteer hours
Click a link to download a form. Once it is open in your browser, choose Save As... from the File menu to save a copy to your computer. You can then open that copy and complete the form electronically or print it and complete it manually. If you do not have MS Word and need electronic forms in a different format, contact Kris Kirkwood.
