Get up close and personal with some of our feathered friends! Chris Frey, a researcher from Stephen F. Austin working at Mad Island, has asked for 6 to 10 individuals to help herd birds into mist nets, perform assessments, and record data. We will be tramping across native grassland. This is a challenging traverse which can be marshy and inhabited with mosquitoes. Interested individuals should come prepared to spend several hours in the field.

We will be assisting him on Saturday, February 14 and on another day sometime between now and the end of March. Newly renovated overnight accommodations are available at Mad Island. So come, have dinner, and spend the night.
